Sun and Stars Planning, our origin story:

My name is Dru Hurley, and as the founder of Sun and Stars Planning; I’m excited you are considering my company to be a part of your big day.

I’m from the central coast of California, where art and cowboy culture fell in love. I grew up at the heart of a place where gathering and celebration were constant. The Central Coast was where my love of events and design dug its roots. Watching something begin as imaginary and then unfold right before my eyes, fills my heart more than anything.

Sun and Stars Planning came from a phrase that my husband and I used when we tell each other “I love you”. Our special story led us to use “I love you more than the Sun and the Stars,” and “I love you more than the Moon and the Sea,” to express our love to each other.

After planning our own wedding, I started having friends and family members ask if I might be able to help them with planning theirs. After several successful weddings, Sun and Stars Planning was born. My specialty is bringing visions to life, whether it be my clients, my family and friends, or my own.
