Sun and Stars Planning, our origin story:
My name is Dru Hurley, and as the founder of Sun and Stars Planning; I’m excited you are considering my company to be a part of your big day.
I’m from the central coast of California, where art and cowboy culture fell in love. I grew up at the heart of a place where gathering and celebration were constant. The Central Coast was where my love of events and design dug its roots. Watching something begin as imaginary and then unfold right before my eyes, fills my heart more than anything.
Sun and Stars Planning came from a phrase that my husband and I used when we tell each other “I love you”. Our special story led us to use “I love you more than the Sun and the Stars,” and “I love you more than the Moon and the Sea,” to express our love to each other.
After planning our own wedding, I started having friends and family members ask if I might be able to help them with planning theirs. After several successful weddings, Sun and Stars Planning was born. My specialty is bringing visions to life, whether it be my clients, my family and friends, or my own.

Dru was so essential in my wedding planning process. I had only about 5 months to get everything planned, which is a tight time frame, but she made it happen! The day of my wedding, I was so stress free and I have her to thank for that. She even brought an emergency kit that was DEFINITELY used. I got stung by a bee while taking our family photos, and she even had cortisone on hand!
She had thought of everything I could possibly need and my wedding was one of the best days of my husband and I’s lives. Highly recommend.
